Coldwell Banker Lincoln Park Plaza Raises $9,000 for National Runaway Switchboard

On August 24 Foundation Representatives presented $9,000 to the board of NRS at their headquarters on Lincoln Avenue in Chicago. These funds were raised on June 9 when the Coldwell Banker Lincoln Park Plaza office, through the auspices of the Coldwell Banker Charitable Foundation, hosted a special fundraising event to benefit the National Runaway Switchboard.

The event was held in the Atrium Gallery at the Playboy Corporate Headquarters in Chicago. Guests enjoyed viewing Playboy’s private art collection which features works by notable 20th century artists such as Andy Warhol, Richard Hunt, Tom Wesselman and Salvador Dali. Curated guided tours, live chamber music, a silent auction and raffle and hors d’oeuvres catered by Chicago’s world-famous chef and restaurateur, Charlie Trotter made for a very special evening.

Nearly 100 people attended with proceeds benefitting the National Runaway Switchboard. Event sponsors included Chicago Social Magazine, PHH Home Loans, Attorney Kelli Fogarty and the Seneca Hotel.

“The Playboy Foundation was gracious enough to let us showcase their private corporate art collection to benefit a worthy cause,” said David Hall, manager of the Lincoln Park Plaza office. “Everyone who attended was thrilled to view these seldom-seen commissioned works by so many important contemporary artists. And kudos to Kelly Mead, Rita McCarthy, Stephanie Englund-Siegal and Melinda Jakovich of our company for their efforts in organizing the event and making it possible for us all to enjoy this very special evening.”

“The event was a great success thanks to the hard work of our agents and management team. I am proud that the Coldwell Banker Foundation has partnered with such a wonderful cause,” said Kathy Kalnes, Regional Vice President of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.
